In Astana: Culinary and bakery-pastry trainers complete certification

An overview of their journey

As part of the college’s broader strategy to align with international accreditation and adopt modern teaching methodologies, these trainers completed an intensive, Swiss‑designed trainer‑certification program—combining approximately 600 hours of online self‑paced learning with more than 20 hours of live webinars led by pedagogy experts in Switzerland.

Their learning journey culminated in Astana, where our master trainers flew in to conduct the final assessments. Each participant delivered a full demo lesson to students, demonstrating not only technical skill but the pedagogical competence needed to teach at a Swiss standard.

And the results? The trainers absolutely loved the program. Their feedback and survey data paint a clear picture: this training didn’t just upgrade their knowledge—it transformed their approach to teaching.

How Kazakhstan's trainers improved the most

Every participant highlighted significant growth in key areas essential to modern vocational teaching. The trainers reported the greatest improvement in:

🟣 Writing learning outcomes
🟣 Using digital tools (presentations, webinars, online platforms)
🟣 Planning a lesson
🟣 Teaching in a blended‑learning format
🟣 Presenting confidently in front of a group

A remarkable outcome: ⭐ All trainers gave the program a perfect 5/5 rating.

Professional growth to be proud of

Beyond skill-building, many trainers shared that the program enabled them to achieve meaningful milestones in their professional development, like developing knowledge of Swiss and international standards, acquiring modern teaching methods and digital competencies, building confidence in their professional abilities and staying current with industry trends and best practices.

Voices from the classroom: Trainer testimonials

A milestone for Kazakhstan’s culinary education

By completing this certification, the trainers are now ready to deliver our Swiss‑standard blended‑learning culinary and bakery–pastry programs in Kazakhstan. Their commitment and achievements represent an important step forward—not only for the college, but for the future of culinary and pastry education in the country.

Their success shows what can happen when dedication meets structured, modern, evidence‑based teaching methodology: teachers become facilitators of learning, and students gain access to world‑class training.

What this means for the future

The success of this trainer‑certification program in Kazakhstan shows what is possible when schools invest in modern pedagogy, blended‑learning expertise, and internationally aligned teaching standards. These trainers didn’t just complete a course—they transformed their approach to teaching, and their students will be the ones who benefit most.
