During this course, participants will:

Become familiar with our course methodology, digital platform and online course content.

Complete all bakery modules, including practical exercises, self-assessments and tests.

Reflect on what has been learned to better understand how to implement our courses and instruct learners.

Understand the different training practices needed to guide and mentor future learners.

Learn how to provide learners feedback and assess their learning throughout the certification process.

Demonstrate how to implement our bakery courses in a practical setting, with local adaptations.

Trainers will work through the content of our Bakery Professional course:

  • 15+ fundamental science and safety modules
  • 9 recipes with fundamental techniques
  • 9 self-assessments
  • The training focuses on competence-oriented training and facilitation methods.
  • Trainers will learn strategies to guide and evaluate learners’ skills online and in-person.
  • Trainers will complete practical assignments to reflect on the methods they’ve learned.
  • Trainers will build an implementation plan, which allows them to adapt our courses to their local context.  
  • To measure the trainer's competencies at the end of the course, the final assessment will involve demonstrating their ability to successfully implement what they have learned.
  • During a live demonstration of a lesson, trainers must show competency in:  
    • Understanding the Bakery fundamentals and online platform features  
    • Applying a sample of their implementation plan, including training methods adapted to their local setting
    • Facilitating and engaging learners during the live demonstration
  • The final assessment can take place either online or in-person.

What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

  • Prerequisite: Experience working at an executive or management level as a professional baker and approval by our educational partner.
  • After successful completion, trainers can train and certify learners taking Bakery Professional.
  • Additional levels of this program are available to trainers who successfully complete this course.
  • This program is conducted in cooperation with our partner, the Richemont Centre of Excellence.
Note: The term “Diploma” refers to GSL’s proprietary international programs and does not represent an academic degree or a Swiss federal (eidgenössisches) qualification. While based on the Swiss EFZ (Eidgenössisches Fähigkeitszeugnis) level chef apprenticeship, GSL Diplomas are not equivalent to a federal diploma. Recognition may vary by country—participants should check with local authorities or employers.
